# Narbeh Mirzaei

> I lead engineering organizations through the moments that define companies: scaling from startup to scaleup, pivoting a product under pressure, and building the teams that ship what matters. I have worked in AI since early research in Cognitive AI almost two decades ago, long before it was the hottest thing in tech. Over fifteen years I have built and rebuilt product engineering orgs of up to 100 people as VP of Engineering and CTO: AI products at Choco, including OrderAgent and VoiceAgent built in collaboration with OpenAI; payments infrastructure at HelloFresh handling half a million orders a day; and the largest e-commerce platform in Iran at national scale. I think of engineering as an organizational design problem first and a technical one second. The best products come from the best teams, and building those teams is what I do. I write about technology, economy, philosophy, psychology, and whatever else has my attention.
